Founding a chapter during a global pandemic is not an easy task to attempt & much less be able to achieve. But having had two big sisters who were Rhosas, Hayley Espinoza followed in her older sibling's footsteps and began the road of establishing the Illustrious Iota Chapter on the UC Berkeley Campus. Along with 5 of her friends, they worked hard to establish a tight knit community of Rhosas.
Officially established August 14th of 2021, Iota Chapter has quickly grown and made their presence known on the Berkeley Campus, encouraging an environment for the Latinx community to grow and making close connections to the communities in the Bay Area. Sisters have been able to work with K-12 educational programs, provide legal clinics to those seeking legal aid, and continue to work to be an essential community partner.
